Japanese knotweed

Just a reminder that Japanese Knotweed is present on site.  Japanese knotweed is a pernicious non-native plant that grows quickly and can regrow from a tiny piece of root.  The council is aware of its presence on our site and periodically come to deal with it, those plot holders who are affected are also aware.  If you find japanese knotweed on your plot or anywhere around the site, please notify Brian Hoole (lettings email or on plot 56) immediately.  Under no circumstances cut down or dig up the plant yourself – it must not be burnt or composted and can only be buried at licensed sites at a significant depth.
